Our rescued cats rely on people like you. Volunteers keep our shelter clean, fed and full of love, help shy cats learn to trust again, and get animals safely to the vet.

No experience is needed, just a caring heart and a few hours to share. We will show you everything you need to know.

Ways to help

Find the Role That Suits You

Every hour you give makes a real difference. Choose what you enjoy most, and we will match you with tasks that fit your time and experience.

Feeding and cleaning

Keep our cats healthy and comfortable by helping with daily feeding, fresh water and cleaning their living spaces.

Socialising cats

Spend quiet time with shy cats and kittens so they learn to trust people and are ready for a loving home.

Transport

Help get cats to and from vet appointments, adoption meetings and rescues around Kampala.

Grooming and care

Brush, comfort and keep an eye on the cats in our care, and let the team know if anyone seems unwell.

Volunteer agreement

By submitting this application, I confirm that I will follow the shelter’s rules and instructions, handle the cats responsibly and only as instructed, respect quarantine and isolation areas, maintain cleanliness and hygiene, and treat all animals and other volunteers with care and respect. I understand that I may be asked to stop or change a task if it is considered unsafe for me or an animal. I understand that I must not bring my own animals or any outside animals into the shelter.

What to Expect

After you apply, one of our admins will get in touch to welcome you, answer your questions and arrange your first visit. At the shelter we will show you how we work, from feeding routines to quarantine rules.

All volunteers agree to follow the shelter’s rules, handle cats only as instructed, respect quarantine and isolation areas, and never bring outside animals into the shelter.
