Every animal who comes into our care is given safety, patience, and a lot of love. Cat Cradle Rescue Uganda works to assess each animal’s needs and provide appropriate care while planning for the animal’s future.
When an animal is brought to the rescue, we try to gather the available background information and assess the situation. Intake should be done responsibly so we can understand the animal’s needs and available capacity.
Animals are assessed and receive veterinary care based on their condition. This may include treatment, parasite control, vaccination, or other care recommended by a veterinarian.
Step 3
Quarantine and Safe Care
New arrivals are kept separate during the appropriate quarantine period and are not mixed with resident cats. This helps protect the health and wellbeing of the animals while their condition and care needs are assessed.
Step 4
Recovery and Rehabilitation
Food, shelter, medical treatment, and patient, gentle care help animals recover. Each animal’s case and progress are different.
Step 5
Adoption or Sanctuary Care
When a cat is ready and suitable for adoption, the rescue can work to find a responsible, loving home. Some animals may remain in sanctuary care when adoption is not appropriate or when they continue to need a safe place to live.
Tell us about the animal and the situation, and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can. Photos help, so if you can, send them to us on WhatsApp at +256 779 682 744.
